Batting first, India scored 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, thanks to half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. Ishan Kishan got out early after scoring two runs. There was a 49-run partnership for the second wicket between Rohit and Virat. Rohit returned to the pavilion after scoring 19 runs in 18 balls. Virat Kohli scored 52 runs in 41 balls. Rishabh Pant scored 52 runs in 28 balls and Venkatesh Iyer scored 33 runs in 18 balls. Roston Chase took the highest three wickets for the Windies. Chasing 187 runs, the West Indies team could only manage 178 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Rovman Powell scored an unbeaten 68 off 36 balls for West Indies, while Nicholas Pooran scored 62 off 41 balls. Chahal, Bhuvneshwar, and Ravi took one wicket each for India.
